While working at Texthelp, having a small graphic design team meant a lot of creative freedom. In the case of this promotional video, the entire conception and execution was in my hands. Because this product was launching globally, having an American voice was ideal, so the voice over you hear, is my voice recorded out of my home and edited using Adobe Audition.
I was solely responsible for this project from conception to production, researching and deciding to incorporate our product UI into all aspects of this video in order to reinforce our visual brand and create cohesion between the product and our marketing.
This animated video was specifically rewarding because it exposed me to the process of hiring and recording a voice over artist. From conception, to storyboard, to the final mixing, I was able to really enjoy all of the processes involved in creating an animated advertisement.
This social post series was reposted every week with updated artists and lineups. Because of this, the most important focus of this project was that it needed to be easy to edit. I accomplished this with clever composition nesting so that re-exporting the files weekly was fiscally viable.
This piece is part of a quarter-long campaign to increase usage of Spanish tests. The campaign included a series of Spanish webinars, first encouraging Spanish speakers to use the app in their native language and second, encouraging English speakers to use our Spanish tests when hiring for Spanish-speaking roles. This video was part of the second campaign.
While I worked for Ulster University, I created a set of campus outros. This process included illustrating the notable landmarks in each of the campus cities, as well as drawing the main campus buildings. I then used 3D techniques to create a popup book aesthetic. These videos needed to feel unified but unique. We also specifically wanted to celebrate the brand-new building that was erected in Belfast in 2022 – which you can see in the center of the first video.
One of TestGorilla’s USPs is that they offer skills-based assessments in 11 languages. For this reason, there is a major effort to expand in these localised markets. One of the ways that the marketing department works to accomplish this is by putting out Spanish webinars that air at a normal time for Central and Latin America. For this project, I worked closely with one of our team’s native Spanish speakers to create a series of social pieces to promote the webinar. This animated LinkedIn ad is an example of one of these assets.
This animation style was created as a template for the Bud Light Dreams festival. The soft flowing shapes were created with reusability in mind for all future social communications.
These quirky animations were for the Canadian band Doug and the Slugz. They wanted a comic book style mixed with a surreal, larger-than-life slug character.
